Eating Out
(May 2003)

The caterpillar
Is a greedy fella
And eats all he can see.
He doesn't know
The more he grows
The juicier he will be.

The blackbird sings
And preens her wings,
Her watchful eye quite steady.
For as he munches
She knows lunch is
Very nearly ready.
