Sleepy Days

Jan 2009

The bat is really a lazy creature
Of that there's little doubt
For he seems to spend all his day
Simply hanging about

And sometimes he has a little think
While others around him snore
For he has a very special view on life
As he stares up at the floor

But then in the hours of darkness
He's chasing moths instead:
That's what happens when you get
A sudden rush of blood to the head.
