On a cold and crisp December night
There shone two stars, so clear, so bright
That everyone who saw them said
They're a sign of happy times ahead
And so it came to pass each year
They brought us fun and Christmas cheer
But then they faded, and with their demise
We lost the brilliance of Morecombe and Wise.
