Death is all around us
And it's not that we don't care
But mostly we just live our lives
Untouched and unaware.
So when it hits the headlines
We appreciate the pain
And the suffering that it causes,
Then we carry on again.
But death is often quiet,
A private, sad affair,
So mostly we just live our lives
Untouched and unaware.
